Now that I’m back it’s time to move!

Hey, did you guys know that Blogger only transmits the 25 most recent posts to your RSS feed? I sure didn’t. So guess what? Mystery of the missing early episodes SOLVED! And its all Bloggers fault! This means that effective immediately I’m ditching Blogger and moving over to WordPress where they’ll happily transmit whatever I tell them to transmit for however long I tell them to transmit it.

This missing episode problem has been hanging over my head for a long long time and I’m really hoping the switch takes care of it. I mean, you’re supposed to listen to The History of Rome from the beginning- it’s kinda the whole point of the project and lately newcomers have been forced to pick up the action in midstream which is LAME and FRUSTRATING for everyone.

Subscriptions should not be interrupted as I’m not changing anything about the RSS Feed location, just where the Feed looks for its information. But if something goes haywire, we are now located at: http://thehistoryofrome.wordpress.com

However…this move may only be temporary. While I have no great programming skills, the soon-to-be Mrs. History of Rome knows all about these things and has agreed to help design an actual website over the holidays to give The History of Rome a permanent, comfortable home where it can spread out. And by “spread out” I mean “post lots of maps.”

Finally, let me add that I am overwhelmed by all the love and support The History of Rome has generated. I can’t thank you enough for listening to my little podcast with such enthusiasm and sticking around all this time, but I’ll try: THANKS!

Onward to the Imperium…

Mike

PS There may be some weirdness as I try to work all this out. For example iTunes now shows NO episodes at all. Sweeeeeet.

I’m so glad you’re back! Fortunately, I didn’t discover the podcast until recently, so by the time I had listened to them all I only had to wait a couple of days for the next installment.

Looking forward to the new website–maps will be WONDERFUL!

Congratulations to you and the soon-to-be Mrs. THOR by the way!

Hi Michael I am glad you’re back as with so many other listeners were. I’ve been checking Blog Spot now and then and was happily surprised to see what happened to Sulla. I assume you’re getting married and have already moved across town. I wish you both well. I would love to see a picture of yourself and wife to be.

    Mike,
I have just recently stumbled on your podcast and it is wonderful! I just added it to my list recently, so I had all the past podcasts to listen to while I travel. Now I’m caught up and the wait is killing me! I look forward to your next installment.
